As a young adult, I pursued a career in finance, but when the 2008 financial crisis hit, I found myself feeling lost and unsure of my next step. However, that challenge became the perfect opportunity to regroup and pursue a career that had been calling me all along.
My journey into real estate began long before I realized it. Growing up, my father was driven to advance his career, which meant we moved constantly across states—Kentucky, Tennessee, Nebraska, Minnesota, Indiana, Ohio—until we settled in Texas when I was 14. Moving so often made it hard to form lasting friendships, but it taught me to adapt quickly and connect with new people. It also made me value stability and a permanent home.
At 18, I started working at a local bank in Texas, where I developed a fascination with finances and investments. I became a supervisor at Wells Fargo and later got involved in the stock market. By 23, I was a securities broker and financial advisor, spending much of my time educating people on investments, particularly trading stocks in the stock market and bonds in the bond market. I also advised investors seeking low-risk investment portfolios.
Despite working in the financial industry for several years, things changed when the 2008 financial crisis hit. I went through a rough personal patch that affected my performance at work. In addition, the market took a big hit that affected the financial industry. Suddenly, I was let go by the company I worked for.
This was one of the most stressful times in my life, since I didn’t know where to turn next. With my credit affected, finding another job as a stockbroker seemed impossible. I considered going back to college to get a degree in mathematics, but overall, I felt a bit lost.
That’s when I remembered my long-time interest in real estate investing. Coincidentally, a friend introduced me to Keller Williams, which was hosting a career night. “This could be a great stepping stone into real estate investing, which I've always wanted to do,” I thought to myself. By 2013, I got my REALTOR® license and joined the McKissack Group, a top brokerage in Dallas-Fort Worth. With mentorship from the team’s top owner, I transitioned smoothly into real estate.
The skills I had honed in finance, like educating clients on complex processes and strategies, transferred perfectly to real estate. As a financial advisor, I loved helping people find a way to prepare for the future and make smart decisions, and that same passion applies to helping people find their dream homes. My financial background also helps me break down the numbers clearly, and as the owner of DFW Construction Pros LLC since 2023, I bring an added layer of construction knowledge that helps clients better understand a home’s condition, potential issues, and what certain repairs or improvements may involve.
I take pride in knowing I’m making a difference. I enjoy being a go-to resource for my clients and helping them achieve financial stability through homeownership and accomplish their real estate goals. This is my 13th year in real estate, with 2025 my second-best year yet. I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep serving clients with experience they can count on!
My wife Vanessa has been with me through this entire journey—we met in high school and have been together ever since, recently celebrating 21 years of marriage. We love traveling, especially to Napa Valley for wine-tasting trips, as we’re both big wine enthusiasts. Our two twins, Jaylyn and Ayanna, are now 20. Jaylyn is currently studying computer science at UNT, and Ayanna recently had a baby, Xyair, making us proud grandparents. She plans to join me in real estate as well, creating a family business. We love food, so a big part of our lives is trying new restaurants, and I enjoy grilling smoked salmon and chicken for everyone.

Giving back to the community is also important to me, so I volunteer annually with Habitat for Humanity, helping build and paint homes for those in need. Through everything, my faith in The Lord Jesus has kept me grounded. I’m deeply grateful for the blessings I’ve received. I strive to be a good, patient, and loving person each day, and I owe that inspiration to The Lord Jesus.
I place great importance on offering excellent service with a keen attention to detail. My strong financial background allows me to additionally guide clients through the loan process, breaking it down clearly when lenders may not, ensuring they fully understand each step. I also conduct thorough market analyses, informing clients if a house is overpriced and helping sellers maximize profits. I’m always looking for ways to add value for my clients, which is why I started a construction company to help handle the repairs that come up during the buying or selling process, so you already have a trusted team to get it resolved without the stress of hunting down reliable professionals. And my employees meet the same high standards I hold myself to.
I’m highly responsive, answering calls and texts promptly to keep clients informed at every stage. Professionalism is key—I’m always punctual and well-prepared. My commitment to earning trust through actions has led to many repeat and referral clients, which I’m very proud of. If you choose me as your REALTOR®, you’ll have someone by your side with deep knowledge of the Dallas-Fort Worth market and a true passion for real estate. I constantly strive to learn more! I work in both residential and commercial sectors while also assisting tenants and investors. I believe in empowering clients through education, helping them make confident decisions.
Sincerely,

Michael J. Osborne
